Talking wardrobe staples. The older I get, the more I want to invest in products that last long and make me feel great while wearing them.
Although I got this beautiful and absolutely comfortable cashmere jumper as a gift from Aeronautica Militare last year, I most definitely would have bought it seeing as I have been wearing it non stop. Lately, I have been thinking a lot about clothes, where they come from, who made them and how long do we actually wear them. Seeing myself wearing a piece like this jumper over and over again until it falls apart, hopefully not in the next 1-2 years, leaves me very satisfied. Honestly, I think investing into something or nabbing a bargain on the high street makes you love that certain piece even more which leads to you wearing it until the very end.
It’s that bittersweet feeling when your favorite pair of sneakers is falling apart but at the same time you know you utterly cherished them and it is okay to let them go. In a time ruled by the mass market, using something up before buying something new is a great feeling to me.
Anyway, for today’s outfit, I picked a few pieces I absolutely love to show off a normal outfit of the day. Pairing black and blue will forever be my favorite color combination and wearing a solid pair of mom jeans with boots and a cashmere jumper is always right, isn’t it? I wore this look a few weeks ago for a stroll through Berlin on a sunny Sunday afternoon with the boyfriend.
