According to my dad denim is the greatest thing in the world — and I certainly agree with him. Having a great pair of jeans is key in anyones wardrobe.
I remember him going on business trips and bringing back heaps of jeans (one for my mom, one for me, one for each of my sisters) ranging from Levis to Diesel: my mom must have about 30 pairs of jeans in her closet by now. After he got her covered with jeans for a lifetime he went on to denim blouses, another wardrobe staple that should not be underestimated in its power. It was hilarious when two years ago he wanted to get her a great denim blouse for christmas but couldn’t decide which wash so he just got her three different versions. Since then I am hooked with denim blouses and while I borrowed my moms all the time it was time to find my one.
A few weeks ago I stumbled upon this light blue one by Esprit which I thought would make a great addition to my spring wardrobe. With the weather finally getting better I am in desperate need of a batch of spring clothes that are colorful and light. Denim blouses often tend to be too frigid but seeing as this has more of a “denim look” and is actually made out of Lyocell it makes it much more loose-fitting and great for layering and tucking it in like I did in today’s look. It turned out to be a casual outfit for office days while the little ruffles on the sleeves and collar make it look less classic and more feminine. Since I could not find the exact same item online, here’s another option I could have easily gone for and hope you like.
